IndustrialFarming is a lightweight Rust plugin designed to expand the existing industrial system with practical farming automation while preserving the original vanilla gameplay experience.
Our goal is simple: improve everyday farming through quality-of-life features, without unnecessary complexity, custom resources, or major changes to Rust's core mechanics.
Automated Composters
Attach a standard Storage Adaptor to a Composter and connect it to your industrial network. IndustrialFarming automatically distributes Horse Dung across the composter's input slots, helping maintain efficient fertilizer production without constant manual rearrangement.
Industrial Beehives
Connect Beehives to your industrial system using standard Storage Adaptors and industrial pipes. Honeycomb can be transferred through connected industrial conveyors into storage containers.
Multiple Beehives can also be connected together, making it easier to build compact or larger-scale honey farming systems.
Automated Chicken Coops
Expand your Chicken Coop with industrial connectivity. The plugin supports automatic feeding from connected storage and allows eggs to be extracted through the industrial network.
This reduces repetitive inventory management while keeping the original chicken farming mechanics intact.
Vanilla-Style Integration
IndustrialFarming uses Rust's existing Storage Adaptors, industrial pipes, conveyors, and storage containers.
There are no complicated custom crafting systems or unnecessary gameplay modifications. Players can build and manage their automated farms using familiar vanilla equipment.
Installing IndustrialFarming is straightforward:
Download the IndustrialFarming.cs plugin file.
Upload it to your server's oxide/plugins directory.
Allow the plugin to compile and load.
Configure settings through oxide/config/IndustrialFarming.json if needed.
Equip a Storage Adaptor and attach it to a supported farming deployable.
The plugin is designed to work with existing Rust industrial systems, so players can begin building automated farming setups without learning an entirely new system.
IndustrialFarming includes customizable settings to help server owners tailor automation to their servers.
Available options include building privilege requirements, adaptor placement distance, automatic chicken feeding, beehive honeycomb extraction, composter input balancing, conveyor requirements, and adaptor mounting positions.
The default settings are intended to provide a simple experience with minimal administration.
Developed and tested using Oxide/uMod.
Carbon compatibility is expected due to its support for Oxide plugins, but has not yet been independently verified.
IndustrialFarming is an actively developed project focused on improving Rust's farming experience.
We plan to introduce major updates featuring new farming automation, additional supported deployables, and more quality-of-life improvements in future releases.
Our goal is to continue expanding IndustrialFarming while maintaining its lightweight, vanilla-friendly design.
Automate your farm. Keep the vanilla experience.
