Advertising on GameServersHub
Ads help keep GameServersHub running. We keep them few, clearly labeled, and free of tracking. This page explains exactly how they work.
How to recognize a paid placement
- Every ad carries a Sponsored label. Select it to see who paid for it.
- A resource that a company paid to promote says Sponsored by and the company's name. Its ratings, reviews, and download counts are earned the same way as every other resource. Paying never changes them.
- Only resources our staff chose on merit, with no payment involved, are called a Staff pick.
Where ads appear, and where they never do
- At most one ad per page, placed after the content you came for.
- Never above a page title, a download button, or a purchase button.
- None on member profiles, sign in, checkout, legal pages, or error pages.
- An ad only runs where it fits. An ad written for one game is shown only on that game's pages, and an empty slot simply disappears.
- Animated ads play only while on screen, can be paused, and stay still if your device asks for reduced motion.
What we count, and what we never share
- Ads are images and videos served from our own site. Advertisers cannot run scripts, pixels, or cookies here.
- We count how many times each ad is seen and clicked, as anonymous daily totals. An ad counts as seen once at least half of it has been on screen for a second. Known bots are not counted.
- We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not share any information about you with advertisers. Advertisers receive only those totals.
- Clicking an ad passes through a GameServersHub link so we can count the click, then opens the advertiser's website in a new tab. From there, their own privacy policy applies.
The full details are in the advertising section of our privacy policy.

We work with companies that make tools and services for game server owners. Placements run for a fixed term, and you get real, bot filtered view and click numbers for your campaign. To ask about availability, message the GameServersHub team on Discord (opens in a new tab).
