How we list Steam Workshop creators
GameServersHub helps server owners find mods. To do that we index public Steam Workshop items and show who made them. The people who made those mods did not sign up with us, so here is exactly what we show, where it comes from, and how any creator can claim or hide it.
Where things stand
We currently index 83,365 mods by 8,993 Steam Workshop creators. 0 creators have claimed their profile, and 0 creators have asked us to hide theirs. These numbers update every few minutes.
What we show, and where it comes from
- For each mod: its title, description, preview image, tags, file size, subscriber and favorite counts, vote score, and publish and update dates. We collect this from public Steam Workshop listings through our own indexing service and refresh it about every 12 minutes.
- For each creator: their Steam display name, avatar, and profile link, looked up with the official Steam Web API and refreshed weekly.
- Every mod and creator page links back to Steam. Items removed from Steam Workshop are removed here too, usually within about a week.
What we never do
- Host, mirror, or redistribute Workshop mod files.
- Sell Workshop mods or charge for access to them.
- Message anyone, or act, on a creator's behalf.
- Present a creator as a GameServersHub member. Generated creator pages say so, show no join date, and are kept out of search engines.
If you are one of these creators
Claim your profile. Open your creator page and choose Claim this profile. You sign in with Steam, and the page becomes your GameServersHub profile.
Hide your profile. Request removal and we will hide your profile, or your profile and your mods, within 72 hours. No account is needed, we delete the profile details we had cached, and our sync will not add them back. Self-serve hiding with a single Steam sign-in is coming next.
Change your mind later. A hidden profile can be shown again only by you, after you verify with Steam and confirm.
