One /link code ties an ARK player to their web account.
Arkstar-Link links an ARK player character to their Arkstar web account with one quick /link code and maps each EOS id to a Discord id for your ASA server.
I built Arkstar-Link so your players tie their ARK character to their Arkstar web account in one step. A player types the link command with a short code and the plugin does the rest. It keeps its own map of EOS id to Discord id, fills in players who linked before you installed it, and warns you on Discord the moment the bridge to the site breaks. It runs on SQLite with zero setup, or on MySQL so a whole cluster reads one shared table.
| Command | What It Does | Where |
|---|---|---|

Arkstar-Link.TestApi |
Sends a test call to the web API and reports if the URL, key, secret, and clock are right. | Both |
Arkstar-Link.TestDiscord |
Posts a test embed to both webhooks. | Both |
Arkstar-Link.Lookup <eos or discord id> |
Shows who a character belongs to. | Both |
Arkstar-Link.Refresh <eos> |

Command names live in config.json, so you can rename them or turn one off.
| Command | What It Does |
|---|---|
/link <code> |
Links your character to your web account. Type it with no code to see your status. |
/linkstatus |
Shows if your character is linked and to whom. It reads from memory and answers at once. |
/linkinfo <eos or discord id> |
Staff lookup by EOS id or Discord id. Needs the admin node. |
| Node | What It Unlocks |
|---|---|
ArkstarLink.Use |
Lets a player use the link command. |
ArkstarLink.Admin |
Lets staff use the /linkinfo chat lookup. |
With no Permissions plugin installed, everyone may use the link command (fail open). The /linkinfo chat lookup fails closed, so nobody can use it in chat, and you use the console or RCON Arkstar-Link.Lookup instead, which are already trusted.

Arkstar-Link folder into ArkApi/Plugins/, so the folder name matches the DLL.config.json and paste your ServerKey and LinkSecret from the site admin page.ArkApi.log for the loaded line, then run Arkstar-Link.TestApi to confirm the site answers.Need a hand or hit a snag? What does Arkstar-Link do?
Arkstar-Link ties an ARK character to a player's Arkstar web account. A player types the link command with a short code from the site, and their EOS id gets bound to their web account and Discord id. The plugin keeps its own map of who is who, so you always have a name behind every EOS id on the server.
How do I install Arkstar-Link?
Unzip the download and drop the Arkstar-Link folder into ArkApi/Plugins/, then open config.json and paste the ServerKey and LinkSecret from your Arkstar site admin page. Restart the server, then run Arkstar-Link.TestApi to confirm the site answers. SQLite works with no other setup.
Does Arkstar-Link need MySQL?
No. Arkstar-Link runs on SQLite out of the box with zero setup. Switch to MySQL only when you run more than one map, so every server reads and writes one shared table. That turns the plugin into a map of your whole cluster instead of one server.
Does linking still work without ArkShop or Permissions?
Yes. A points shop is only used for the optional one time link reward, and either ArkShop or WShop can pay it. Links work fine with neither. With no Permissions plugin, everyone can use the link command, and staff lookups still work from the console and RCON.
Can Arkstar-Link find players who linked before I installed it?
Yes. Run Arkstar-Link.Backfill to queue known and online unlinked players, and keep WarmOnJoin on so the plugin asks the site about each new player when they join. Both fill in your EOS id to Discord id map over time.
Was any AI content used in the making of this?
The source code itself was fully created by myself. I do use ChatGPT occasionally to generate product images, and I do use ChatGPT to generate the website descriptions. I do this because I don't speak native English perfectly. I am natively from Sweden, so I use GPT to help translate and write product descriptions. I also will sometimes use GPT to write better English logs. Majority of my Free plugins are open source, so you can review the code yourself and freely fork and edit it to your liking.
