Ask your whole server a question and watch them vote in chat.
Polls lets you ask your whole server a question in chat and count every vote, with an auto end timer, plain result bars and Discord posts built right in.
Polls puts a quick show of hands in your server chat. Post a question with up to nine choices, let every player answer with a single number, and get a counted result the moment the clock runs out. Running counts stay hidden unless you say otherwise, so the first few votes do not drag everybody else along. The open poll and its votes are saved, so a restart in the middle of a vote costs you nothing.

The staff gate is fail closed on purpose. With Permissions missing or switched off no player passes the check, so you start and end polls from the console or over RCON, or set a start cost and let players pay for the privilege.

Keep the folder name as it is, since AsaApi only loads a plugin whose folder carries the same name as its DLL.Polls/config.json and set your command words and your timer, then drop your webhook into discord.json beside it if you want the posts.AsaApiLoader.exe.ArkApi.log for the loaded line, then start a poll and see who is paying attention.Stuck on a step, or did something break? What does Polls do?
Polls lets you ask your server a question and counts the answers. Staff start a poll in one line, players vote with a single number, and the result goes up in chat and on Discord with the winner called out.
How do I install Polls?
Unzip the download and place the Polls folder in ArkApi/Plugins/, leaving the folder name alone because AsaApi matches it against the DLL inside. Set your options in config.json and restart the server through the AsaApi loader.
Can two polls run at once?
No, one at a time. A second start is turned down while a poll is running, which keeps voting simple for everybody. Close the open one from chat or the console and then start the next.
Can players start their own polls?
Yes, if you let them. By default only staff holding the manage node may start one. Put a start cost above zero and any player can start a poll by paying that many ArkShop points, charged up front so the poll only opens if they can afford it.
Can I hide the vote counts while a poll is open?
Yes, and I hide them by default. Players see how many have voted but not what for, so the early votes do not drag the rest along. Turn it on if you would rather everybody watched the bars move.
What happens to a poll when the server restarts?
Nothing is lost. The open poll, every vote and the history go to disk, so a restart brings them all back. If the end time passed while the server was down, the poll closes and posts its result on the first tick after boot.
Was any AI content used in the making of this?
The source code itself was fully created by myself. I do use ChatGPT occasionally to generate product images, and I do use ChatGPT to generate the website descriptions. I do this because I don't speak native English perfectly. I am natively from Sweden, so I use GPT to help translate and write product descriptions. I also will sometimes use GPT to write better English logs. Majority of my Free plugins are open source, so you can review the code yourself and freely fork and edit it to your liking.
