Hey Guest, I’ve got some exciting news to share! 🎉

Starting this December, I’ll be moving the entire GameServersHub website away from WordPress and rebuilding it in Next.js! This upgrade will bring incredibly faster speeds, smoother performance, and a modern user experience that sets the stage for everything coming next.

In 2026, GameServersHub will be entering a new era. I’ll be revamping the entire platform from the ground up and launching a brand-new, fully modernized marketplace. It’ll feature a cleaner design, improved functionality, and better tools for both creators and server owners.

On top of that, development has already started on the GameServerListing project at https://gsl-six.vercel.app/, which is expected to launch in early Q1 2026. This new system will make discovering and managing servers easier than ever before.

I am trying to get it to work in the game but none of the chat messages go to the other server. Do you have Discord so we can talk about this? Also what should I put for the "CrossChatKey"?

Neither of you are using your RCON ports most likely. those are your game ports Im betting

Even with Rcon ports does the same. I have been trying to get this to work too for days now, And my Ark server run it perfectly!

This isn't working for us either and yes we are using rcon ports its enabled and they are open and getting error saying failed to connect to ark server rcon, this is for atlas right?

I'll just watch this until people are posting it's working. This will be so useful for Atlas Shards ;)

Its been working since ported

Glad it's working for you. There are dozens here that can't get it working and have posted there configs. So idk. But I have Rcon on my phone that works to push what I say to all servers at least. So that's good.

There arent even "dozens" of comments. There are maybe 4or 5 that have problems

yea the ark version suffers similar issues, ownprox has mentioned about rcon being unreliable for the plugin.

I managed to get mine working ;) But can't separate server names as I'm running all 9 from the same Server.

mine are all rcons and this shit doesnt work. no support or anything. has potential too.

They all always run from the same server. And there is always only one server name. There are only different shard names, which dont show up unless your in-game.

Well, I used to run each one of my Ark servers separate so I could customize different plugins etc. Now I'm running all 9 Atlas from one folder using the same plugins folder. So I just named it (cross chat) works out. Other than the names being cut off lol. At least you can see one of them haha.

@GeekGoggles

Is this now working for you without crashes? I've tried it twice now on a 9 server cluster and a 12 server cluster. Each of which had the servers all on the same respective machines and the only edit i made was to overide the map name from "ocean" to " " so that it just showed a space.

It worked perfectly other than cutting off the names for some people, but after a period of time. Either player number or message length seemed to crash it out. Interesting it never crashed all the servers, only some of them.

I will try and dig out crash logs from the event viewer later if they are still there, but i never got a message displayed on screen. They .exe's just closed. As for Redis the only difference between mine and standard is that i use the retail MS release and have it installed as a service, which i'm sure most have done now.

Edit: I still use Tobis Ark Cross Server chat on my Ark Cluster and it's perfectly smooth and has not crashed once, that's why i was wondering if his method may be of some help in getting this working smoothly for everyone (even if it is not as efficient). https://arkserverapi.com/threads/unmaintained-ark-cross-server-chat.54/

Yes mine is working and for the space, all you needed to do was this "MAPNAME ", Space after the end of your name! But yes mine is working no crashes no issues except the steam name is cut off.

Also the key should be numbers, using a name in that seems to cause issues. Use numbers that's how I got mine working. Also the chat won't show for you you need another person to test this.

Mine is working, however after a period of time using it, I do end up getting connection errors to all of the RCONs which forces me to have to unlock and reload the plugin to get it working again.

That would be something on your end I would say. Have had mine working for over 24 hours with lots of chat no crashes no errors no nothing just smooth sailing. Hope you figure it out. Might check your firewall. As I do not run that on my server box!

I really don't think it's something on my end. it's the same/similar error you get from running "RCON" client from a system where it continues to get regular disconnects. it's a known issue with RCON in general. Another user also posted the error recieved, and it's only after alot of communication back and forth. if there isn't alot of chatter, no issues.. alot of chatter, and you get the error .. but it doesn't crash (at least not for me) it simply stops the plugin from working.

LINK to other post with image of error :: https://arkserverapi.com/threads/cross-server-chat.866/post-7213 .. NOTE :: the error I'm referring to is the one in yellow that it says it can't send to RCON.

Btw, also have firewall for LOCAL turned off, and since all communication is passed via 127, it never hits the firewall (monitored with wireshark to confirm it wasn't doing any weird NAT misdirection or anything.)
