Hey all im rolling with 6 plugins atm and honestly have my eye on a few more paid ones.
Im just concerned at what point is too many.
Should it be treated like mods? the more you have the worse it runs?
Just trying to get a round about number to work around.

I run 11 on my cluster at the moment, that is including the required Permissions plugin. I have yet to see any issue. It really depends on the size and scope of each plugin. I have seen screenshots from other server owners running quite a bit more than I am.

The only time I could see an issue is if you had a problem that you couldn't particularly nail down to a specific plugin, then you may end up playing whack-a-mole.

I run 27, no problems. The quality of the plugins are key, as some can cause extreme lag and/or problems. So It's up to the type/quality of plugins not the quantity.

So best bet is to add one and thoroughly test it before adding more.

Holy shit balls Batman. No issues or extra downtime because of updates?

Btw thank you both for your answers. They were both helpful and enlightening.

here are all of the plugins i run and I've had none to minimal issues, plugins are really lightweight most of the time so the chance of it lagging or something is pretty low (considering the developer knows what he's doing :D)

There is never an issue to run several plugins, they are not as demanding as mods.
Think you have enough answer to close this topic :)
