This should only happen if you reach the maximum amount of steam api requests in given time.. How many people do you have online and how many are joining? Also.. are you using the API Key for another project?

I have the same problem, the API access just smears off after 100k accesses. The server then kicks the majority of the players and is no longer accessible for some time. On the server play 15-20 players on average per day.

The plugin is not needed anymore since WildCard has released an option to toggle Familysharing. See the Plugin overview page for more information
