Hey Guest, I’ve got some exciting news to share! 🎉

Starting this December, I’ll be moving the entire GameServersHub website away from WordPress and rebuilding it in Next.js! This upgrade will bring incredibly faster speeds, smoother performance, and a modern user experience that sets the stage for everything coming next.

In 2026, GameServersHub will be entering a new era. I’ll be revamping the entire platform from the ground up and launching a brand-new, fully modernized marketplace. It’ll feature a cleaner design, improved functionality, and better tools for both creators and server owners.

On top of that, development has already started on the GameServerListing project at https://gsl-six.vercel.app/, which is expected to launch in early Q1 2026. This new system will make discovering and managing servers easier than ever before.

Is anyone else seeing a HUGE increase in RAM usage on their servers since the addition of ArkAPI? All of my 25 servers are using, on average, more than 3 times what they used to use!

This is obviously leading to constant crashes and server running like crap.

What steps have you taken in determining if it's actually the ArkAPI causing the issue?

22 servers created almost identically, all running great for years. ArkAPI now running on 17 of them and all 27 have severe increases in memory 'absorption'. Remove ArkAPI and they have stable memory usage. I have no yet narrowed down if its a plugin specifically or ArkAPI itself since the above test is a 100% off or on process.

Do you use VoteRewards? Try to remove it if so and see if it helps.

This is from a conversation with someone else about another issue, but was shortly after I recognized the memory problem was happening. The key points would be the memory usage of all of the unhighlighted instances in the first image compared to the second. as well as CPU time. This gives a fairly solid rate of the leak... 1Mb/second The second image shows a typical memory usage of most of my servers... the highlighted server.

This pic is just for reference of memory utilization early in the load of the highlighted server. Restarted it to get some reference.

This one is from the second the test server went live. You can see how much each of the others increased over that short period of time

It seems that removing VoteRewards has stabilized all of the servers.
Alright, good findings, maybe someone needs to take a look at the VoteReward plugin to verify if it's possible to minimize the memory usages of that plugin.

The crappy part is that the whole vote rewards system is the foundation of why I started using Ark API. But its pointless running the plugin because of the problems.

Is this still an issue or can we close this topic?

As far as I can tell, it seems to have been resolved. All (insert too big of a number here) of my servers are back to using 5gig or less each

Closing this thread then! :)
