Well, it works pretty simply (if you don't want to go down in details of the API.) But basically, you need to have access to the ark server folder/directory. And it has to be a Windows platform.

Then you just add the api to the bin folder and add plugins! (and ofc configures the plugins for your likings.)

Anyway, you have a rental that makes it more "complicated" since the server provider might don't give you the complete access to the ARK folder and such. So you need to ask them to add the API or it might even be prepared in their web-provisioning tool. But you need to ask them if it not obvious.
