Controlling Dinosaur Access

Managing dinosaur access on your server is made simple with a whitelist system. This approach ensures that only approved dinosaurs will appear in your server, providing you with control over any newly released official dinosaurs. This gives you the opportunity to test new dinosaurs before deciding if they're suitable for your server.

To control dinosaur access, modify the Game.ini file on your server by adding dinosaur names under the [/Script/PathOfTitans.IGameSession] header. Here's how:

1. Halt your server.
2. Select "File Manager".
3. Head to PathOfTitans/Saved/Config/LinuxServer and edit the Game.ini
4. Locate the [/Script/PathOfTitans.IGameSession] header.
5. Add this line beneath it: AllowedCharacters=Struthiomimus (replace 'Struthiomimus' with any dinosaur you wish to authorize).

To permit multiple dinosaurs, repeat the line and replace the dinosaur name each time, like so:

[/Script/PathOfTitans.IGameSession] AllowedCharacters=Struthiomimus AllowedCharacters=Suchomimus

For modded dinosaurs, find their names and add them to the list. You can usually find these names in the mod's description or by contacting the mod creator.

Save the file (top left) and restart your server.

Remember, each time the game is updated and you update your server, you'll need to manually add any new dinosaurs to your whitelist if you're using this system!
