Hi, database connection not works. Where is the problem? I use MariaDB

Hi,

Just a question. Is the db server on the same server as the Ark server. I am using a hosted solution so have not used MariaDB.

I am not home to verify but did you update I think the permissions config file to point to your db. Make sure it’s the correct password as well.

For your other post I only setup local groups. I have not or didn’t even know we could use discord groups. So can’t help you here.

Did your shop work before you activated MySQL? You can run the shop without configuring the sql settings. (This is the UseMysql = false setting). The reason I ask is you may also have a syntax issue with your shop config file like a missing or extra , or ;

If it did work then some next questions. Are you using a hosted solution or your own server cluster? Did you make sure your config file for the shop api and the permissions api is the same and pointing to the same sql server with the correct credentials (I am sure you did this but all the config files should point to the same sql server ip address and port). If you are just using the shop plugin and no other plugins you should have 3 folders in the plugin folder. Shop API, Shop UI and the Permissions Api (these are not the folder names just me referencing the plugins). All three those will have config files and the Shop Api and Permissions Api should have the same info in the config files pointing to a sql server they can access (if your own server clusters then make sure the server can actually see the IP address of the sql server). While on this make sure for the host you use the IP address and not a name server.

Also ensures you activated the sql setting in the shop ui config to be true i.e. "UseMysql": true,
In Permissions it will be like this "Database":"mysql",

I may be repeating but make sure your 2 config file are the same on each server (At least the connection part) the stuff you sell could be different tho and the UI config is just a skin on the Shop API so doesn't contain connection info

Those of you having the issue with error 1114 on connection.

Until recompiled you cannot install any version of MYSQL Server past 8.0.19

Make sure you also install same version of workbench/c++ connector.
